PAPUA NEW GUINEA - MARCH 11: Members of the Meakambut tribe gathers for sago pancakes on March 11, 2009 in Papua New Guinea. Making an edible product from sago palm is a arduous process. Men peel the bark away from the tree, revealing the pith inside which is gathered by the women, then washed and strained, so that the starch runs out and collects in a paste type flour which they will cook into a flat bread. This is their primary source of food. (Photo by Amy Toensing)
