BAY ST. LOUIS, MISSISSIPPI, SEPTEMBER 3, 2005 — DMAT (Disaster Medical Assistance Team) Volunteers help an elderly man suffering the effects of heat exhaustion in a neighborhood hit hard by Hurricane Katrina, which hit the Gulf Coast of the United States on August 30, 2005. At day six in the aftermath of the storm, the volunteers are the ones on the front line of the relief effort for this natural disaster - the worst in U.S. history.
