GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI - SEPTEMBER 1, 2005 — Animal caretaker, Shannon Huyser, pours water over Freebie the sea lion in Gulfport, Mississippi on September 1, 2005. The animal belongs to the Marine Life Oceanarium in Gulfport and was caught in Hurricane Katrina, which hit the Gulf Coast of the United States on August 29, 2005. The storm left the animal stranded in the backyard of a home in a badly hit neighborhood, blocks from the ocean. Many animals were lost or killed in the massive storm. _________________________________
