ALBURY, NSW, AUSTRALIA - OCTOBER 08: Hume Dam and Hume Reservoir with low water levels from the drought October 8, 2007 in Albury, New South Wales, Australia. This reservoir holds water for the Murray-Darling Basin Irrigation system. From here the water will travel several hundred kilometers to its mouth on the coast of South Australia in Adelaide. Along the way the water will be used by irrigating farmers. The Murray-Darling Basin of Australia has been plagued with severe drought since the late 1990's and many growers and policy makers are being forced to work on implementing more efficient irrigation systems.
