WATARRU, SOUTH AUSTRALIA, AUSTRALIA: Spinifex (foreground) dots the Anangu landscape near the Watarru Community (Mt. Lindsay) in the Great Victoria Desert, South Australia. The plant is extremely sharp and prickly and does not provide any food for humans or animals. The Anangu have stories of people who have not left the bush and still live on the land with a nomadic lifestyle. They call them the "Spinifex People" _________________________________
